This is the website of Gracie-Barra Andalucia, providing training and classes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Grappling/Submission Wrestling, and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Our academy is run by BJJ black belt, Professor Edson “Sururu” Jorge — a world-class instructor and competitor.

Gracie-Barra Andalucia offers classes in two locations, Marbella and La Linea, Spain.

Marbella Academy

Location. The Marbella Academy is located in the Platinum Gym, in the Cristamar Center in Puerto Banus (Marbella), Spain.

Instructor. Classes are taught by professor Edson Jorge, who is also available for private lessons in BJJ, grappling, capoeira and MMA.

Schedule. Training times are as follows:

  • Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Monday and Wednesday, 20:30 to 22:00 hours. (Kimono/Gi required)

  • Submission Wrestling / Grappling (no Gi/Kimono). Friday, 20:30 to 22:00 hours.

Affiliate Academy in La Linea

An affiliate academy in La Linea (near Gibraltar) is run by Jose Antonio Merida, an advanced purple-belt training under professor Edson Jorge. He can be reached by phone at +34 653 86 48 96.

Costs

Costs vary depending on location, and depending on the current conditions of the gyms hosting the academies (Platinum in Marbella, and Muteki Dojo in Malaga).

Visitors

If you’re traveling on vacation in Marbella, and would like to work in some training while you’re hear, come on out — we’d love to have you! On the other hand, if you train BJJ/grappling or vale-tudo, and would like to find a vacation spot where you can train, you simply won’t find a better place than sunny Marbella, Spain!
